Fort Smith, Ark. – According to the statement, the Fort Smith Police Department hosted the 2024 Natural Disaster Preparedness Tabletop Exercise event today, welcoming 70 individuals from several area agencies in an effort to be ready if or when the need arises.
Fort Smith Police Department officials released the following statement:
“Thank you to everyone who participated and to CISA/Dept of Homeland Security for guiding our discussions!
We hope we never need it, but we are honored to be at the frontlines protecting our community should such events impact the area.”
