Fort Smith, Ark. – Fort Smith Police Department officials released the following statement:
“Prevent theft. Lock your firearms. #GunSmart
The Fort Smith Police Department encourages all gun owners to take part in the Gun-Smart Program and help promote responsible gun ownership in the community.
Lock up guns when not in use, and don’t leave them in your car, especially if they are visible.
By properly securing firearms, gun owners can prevent them from being stolen and potentially used for criminal activities.”
