Fort Smith, ARK – The Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of mailbox destructions that occurred earlier this week. Seven residents reported having their mailboxes destroyed between 9 p.m. on December 29 and 7:30 a.m. on December 30. The incidents took place along Highway 10 East, in an area east of Greenwood and near the Logan County line.
Authorities say the damage was caused by a white vehicle, which is believed to have been involved in all of the reported incidents. The Sheriff’s Office is actively working to identify the vehicle and those responsible for the destruction.
The Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in solving the case. Anyone with information about the crimes is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 479-783-1051. Tipsters are allowed to remain anonymous.
