Overnight Ramp Closure on I-30 in Saline County for Roadwork

Little Rock, ARK – Drivers traveling through Saline County on Interstate 30 next week should plan for overnight lane restrictions as crews continue work to widen the highway.

According to officials with the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT), construction efforts will require the temporary closure of the eastbound I-30 on-ramp at South Street. The closure will begin at 9 p.m. on Monday, December 16, and remain in effect until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17.

The ongoing project is part of a larger effort to expand I-30 to six lanes in this section of the highway. As a result, travelers will need to use alternate routes to access eastbound I-30 during the closure. ARDOT has advised drivers to be mindful of surrounding roads that can serve as detours.

Traffic in the area will be carefully managed using a combination of message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and other signage to direct vehicles safely around the work zone.

Motorists are encouraged to plan for additional travel time and exercise caution while navigating the area, as construction activity may impact traffic flow.

For updates and more information on the ongoing I-30 widening project, ARDOT is advising drivers to check their website and social media channels.
