Construction to widen I-30 to six lanes in Saline County requires closing the Highway 67 ramp to I-30 east during overnight hours Tuesday night, December 12 through Thursday morning, December 14, state officials say

Fort Smith, Ark. – According to the statement, crews will reportedly close the ramp from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night for bridge work.

Traffic will be unable to use the I-30 eastbound on-ramp during this closure and will need to follow the signed detours.

The detour is as follows:

  • West on Frontage Road (north of I-30)
  • West on I-30 to Exit 106 (Old Military Road)
  • South on overpass toward I-30 East on-ramp
  • East on I-30

Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage.

The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds.

Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
