ARDOT to hold public hearing on Highway 71B/Towson Avenue improvement project

Fort Smith, Ark. – The Arkansas Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing on February 27 to discuss planned improvements to Highway 71B/Towson Avenue in Fort Smith.

The project will involve milling and inlaying the roadway from Highway 271 to Highway 64, along with drainage enhancements and ADA-compliant sidewalks to improve pedestrian safety.

The hearing will take place from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fort Smith Public Library’s Community Room, located at 3201 Rogers Avenue.

The open house-style meeting will allow attendees to view exhibits, speak with ARDOT staff, and provide feedback on the proposed improvements.
