Arkansas – Construction to widen Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) to six lanes between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville will require a full closure of the northbound lanes between Main Street and North James Street from 8 p.m. on Friday, March 7, through 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 8.
Weather permitting, crews will close the northbound lanes to complete drainage improvements.
During the closure, traffic will detour at Main Street (Exit 9), travel along the frontage road, and re-enter the highway via the North James Street on-ramp. Police, message boards, construction barriers, and signage will be in place to assist drivers.
This project, part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program (Job CA0604), involves widening 2.5 miles of Highway 67 to six lanes and making improvements to interchanges at James Street, Gregory Street, and Vandenberg Boulevard.
It also includes converting frontage roads from two-way to one-way traffic. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously through the work zone and expect reduced speeds.
