Fort Smith, Ark. – The Arkansas Department of Transportation is planning improvements to Highway 71B/Towson Avenue in Fort Smith.
The project will include milling and inlaying the roadway from Highway 271 to Highway 64, along with enhanced drainage and ADA-compliant sidewalks to improve pedestrian safety.
To provide more information and gather public feedback, ARDOT will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Fort Smith Public Library’s Community Room, located at 3201 Rogers Ave.
The open house-style meeting will allow attendees to view exhibits and project materials, speak with ARDOT staff, and provide feedback or ask questions about the proposed improvements.
