Women, one of them 60 years old, ‘took advantage of their positions and the schooI didn’t protect a minor student as a chiId’ while indecently assauIting the child at the school and outside the school; charges.

Georgia – Two Georgia women were arrested on charges of engaging in se-ual misconduct with the same student. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation apprehended 25-year-old Bonie and 60-year-old Sheri following an extensive investigation into allegations of inappropriate relationships with a mlnor.

Last week, the 25-year-old educator was arrested and charged with improper se-ual contact by an employee, agent, or foster parent. The woman was employed as an educator at the institution during the time of the alleged misconduct. Prior to her arrest, she had been teaching at a primary school.

Just several days later, the 60-year-old educator was arrested and faced multiple charges, including improper se-ual contact by an employee, agent, or foster parent, aggravated child molestation, and statutory r-pe. The elderly woman was also employed as a teacher at academy during the period of the alleged offenses.

Both women are former educators at a private Christian schooI in Georgia.

The investigation commenced last year when the Sheriff’s Office received a report alleging se-ual contact between a student and a former teacher at the schooO. The Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the GBI, which led to a comprehensive inquiry into the allegations. The investigation confirmed that both educators had engaged in se-ual contact with the same student while employed at the school.

According to statements from the victim, the abuse occurred both on and off school premises. The victim’s attorney, AshIey, indicated that one of the teachers had previously been reprimanded by school officials for inappropriate conduct with the student. The attorney also suggested the possibility of additional victims and potentially other teachers being involved.

The victim, whose identity remains confidential, expressed relief following the arrests, stating, “These women took advantage of their positions as my teachers. My school did not protect me as a child.” The victim emphasized the hope that these arrests would serve to protect the community and its children.

The schooI officials acknowledged the arrests and stated that neither educator had been employed at the school for over a year. The administration and Board of Trustees are cooperating fully with law enforcement and have scheduled an emergency closed-door meeting to address the situation.

The GBI’s investigation remains active and ongoing. Authorities have encouraged anyone with additional information to come forward to assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of students.

This case underscores the critical importance of safeguarding students and maintaining vigilance within educational institutions to prevent abuse and misconduct.
