Fort Smith, Ark. – Two men were arrested after Fort Smith police recovered 39 packages following an early morning burglary at a UPS facility on South 28th Street.
Fort Smith Police said officers responded to an alarm at the UPS facility at 6715 South 28th Street at approximately 2:40 a.m. on Sept. 20, 2026.
A traffic stop near the facility led officers to a pickup truck where the packages were recovered, according to police.
Dominic Lowe, 36, was arrested and charged with one count of commercial burglary, one count of breaking or entering a vehicle and 39 counts of theft of a parcel.
Kevin McLeod, 26, was charged with one count of commercial burglary and one count of fleeing on foot.
Police said McLeod fled from the vehicle and was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. Lowe remained with the vehicle and was arrested.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police said additional charges are expected against a third suspect connected to the Sept. 20 burglary and an August burglary at the same UPS location.
Fort Smith Police did not identify the third suspect or provide additional details about the August burglary.
