Fort Smith, Ark. — Hundreds of cyclists from across the region gathered in Fort Smith for the annual True Grit Bike Ride, a spirited event that combined athletic challenge with community purpose.
Hosted by the Community Services Clearinghouse, the ride offered participants scenic routes through the city while raising funds for the organization’s Meals for Kids backpack program, which provides weekend meals to local children facing food insecurity.
With the slogan “Grit. Gears. Greatness.” leading the way, the event highlighted both the physical endurance of the riders and the compassion of the community.
Volunteers, sponsors, and supporters came together to ensure a safe and successful ride, turning the day into more than just a race.
City officials and organizers praised the strong turnout and encouraged others to get involved in future rides.
