Arkansas – A 35-year-old Texas man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly firing a gun during a road rage incident on Interstate 40 in Arkansas over the weekend, according to Arkansas State Police.
The incident occurred just before noon on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in the westbound lanes of I-40 near the 175-mile marker in Lonoke County. The victim told state troopers that a black Cadillac sedan with Texas license plates pulled up beside his vehicle and that the driver then opened fire. Authorities identified the passenger as Michael Evans, a 35-year-old resident of Houston, Texas. Evans was taken into custody and charged with committing a terroristic act, unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a minor.
During a search of the vehicle, troopers discovered two semi-automatic pistols on the rear floorboard. Investigators also determined that a juvenile had been in the car at the time of the shooting.
