Little Rock, Arkansas – Strong to severe storms may be possible with the next storm system to hit Arkansas.
The eastern portion of Arkansas will be most at risk for severe storms on Tuesday in the late afternoon and evening. The area of south and southeast Arkansas appears to be at the highest severe risk at this time.
Hail, destructive winds, and tornadoes are all potential severe threats. The Little Rock radar will be offline starting on Monday, November 28th for planned maintenance, which might make it more difficult for meteorologists to follow potential severe weather.
There are other radar locations that cover parts of Arkansas, however, this would result in inadequate radar coverage for a large portion of central and southern Arkansas during probable severe weather.
The specifics of Tuesday’s potential for severe weather could alter.
