Arkansas – According to the state officials, a powerful storm system moving through Arkansas has caused injuries and significant damage across multiple counties.
Officials have confirmed that four people were injured in Craighead County, though no fatalities have been reported. Authorities warn that these numbers are preliminary and may change as assessments continue.
According to the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management, 22 counties have reported damage, including Arkansas, Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Faulkner, Fulton, Greene, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Lafayette, Lawrence, Lee, Perry, Poinsett, Pope, Prairie, Randolph, Saline, Sharp, St. Francis, and Woodruff.
The storm brought strong wind gusts, hail, tornadoes, and flash flooding, leading to widespread impacts on homes, trees, power lines, and roadways. Many counties are still evaluating the extent of the destruction.
As of the latest update from poweroutage.us, approximately 35,424 customers across the state remain without power.
