Fort Smith, Ark. – Early Sunday morning, the Fort Smith Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 400 block of South 17th Street.
According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 4:20 a.m. on August 10.
When officers arrived, they found a victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Detectives took over the investigation at the scene. Authorities said the case remains active and more information will be released when it becomes available.
