Bentonville, Ark. — Emergency crews responded to a plane crash at Thaden Field in Bentonville on Wednesday afternoon. The Bentonville Fire Department confirmed that the crash occurred around 3:22 p.m. when a Comanche 250 aircraft went down while attempting to land.
Upon arrival, fire crews found the plane intact and not on fire. One passenger was transported to a local hospital with non-serious injuries, though the condition of the other individuals aboard the plane was not immediately reported. All passengers had safely exited the plane by the time emergency responders arrived on the scene.
According to a witness, the crash took place as the aircraft was in the process of landing. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified and are en route to begin their investigation into the cause of the incident.
