North Little Rock Police Arrest Suspect in Christmas Eve Deadly Shooting

North Little Rock, ARK – North Little Rock police have arrested Robert Sanders III in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred on Christmas Eve. According to investigators, officers responded to a call about a shooting at approximately 6:20 a.m. on Tuesday, December 24, in the 1300 block of Maple Street. Upon arrival, they found 27-year-old Lakyron Herrod suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save him, Herrod was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the investigation, Sanders, a suspect in the case, was taken into custody. He has been charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by certain persons. Sanders is currently being held without bond at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center.
