Little Rock, Arkansas – Five tornadoes in all have now been reported to have touched down in Arkansas during the outbreak on Friday.
The National Weather Service confirmed that the outbreak on Friday included a fifth tornado. In Philips County, the tornado made landfall.
The NWS estimates that the tornado’s path was 100 yards wide and almost 3 miles long. It began at 7:03 p.m. and finished at 7:04 p.m.
The NWS classified this tornado as EF-U or EF-Unknown. This indicates that there was no damage that could be surveyed by the NWS to determine the tornado’s rating.
In Arkansas, this is the state’s 17th tornado of the year.
