Little Rock, Arkansas – On Saturday afternoon, Miracle League Field at Junior Deputy Park hosted a very special doubleheader of baseball.
Buddy Day was a joint effort between the Miracle League and the Rotary Club.
Players with physical disabilities had the opportunity to participate in the two exciting baseball games. The Astros took on the Dodgers, followed by the Marlins against the Rockies.
According to Dan Parker of Rotary International, having fun is the main goal of the occasion.
“It’s all about having fun and throwing a little joy and you can have a great day and a great rest of the week.”
Rotary International is the oldest and biggest civic organization in the state.
The goal of the Miracle League of Arkansas is to establish a baseball league in every significant Arkansas community where all children can participate, parents can cherish the memories of their kids playing on a team, and everyone in the community comes out on top.
