Man Arrested for Capital Murder in Stabbing Death of Charles “Bam” Watson

Little Rock, ARK – A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged with capital murder following the fatal stabbing of Charles “Bam” Watson, a 38-year-old local resident, on December 12, 2024.

According to the North Little Rock Police Department, officers responded to the 5000 block of Velvet Ridge around 1 p.m. that day after receiving reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found Watson lying on the sidewalk with a serious stab wound. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries two days later on December 14, 2024.

Investigators quickly identified Braelon Stubenfield, 30, as a suspect in the case. During an interview with police on December 18, Stubenfield allegedly admitted to stabbing Watson following an altercation, though the specifics of the incident remain under investigation.

Following his confession, Stubenfield was arrested and charged with capital murder. He is currently being held without bond at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center.

The motive for the stabbing has not been fully disclosed, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
