Little Rock Police Investigate Homicide After Juvenile Found Shot in Vehicle

Little Rock, AR – The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a homicide after a juvenile was discovered shot in a vehicle on the city’s southeast side late Sunday evening. Authorities were called to the scene at approximately 10:45 p.m., after reports of gunfire in the area near the intersection of 27th Street and South Broadway.

When officers arrived, they found the juvenile, who has not yet been identified, inside a parked vehicle with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Paramedics were quickly dispatched, but despite their efforts, the juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting, although details remain sparse as of early Monday morning. Police have not confirmed whether the shooting was a targeted attack or a result of random violence. No arrests have been made, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

“This is a tragic situation, and our hearts go out to the victim’s family,” said Lieutenant Taylor, spokesperson for the Little Rock Police Department. “We are working diligently to piece together the events that led to this loss of life.”

Investigators have canvassed the neighborhood for surveillance footage and are continuing to speak with witnesses who may have seen or heard something related to the incident.
