Highway 118 north of Tyronza to close temporarily for bridge repairs

Arkansas – A portion of Highway 118 north of Tyronza is scheduled to close from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on Tuesday, February 24, Wednesday, February 25, and Thursday, February 26.

Weather permitting, the temporary closure will allow crews to repair railings on the bridge over the Tyronza River. Highway 118 will remain open to local traffic on either side of the closure.

A signed detour will be in place. Southbound traffic will be directed west on Highway 118 to Highway 135, then south to Interstate 555 north back to Highway 118.

Northbound traffic will use Interstate 555 south to Highway 135 north back to Highway 118.

Officials said digital message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage will be positioned to notify motorists of the closures and detour routes.
