Fort Smith, Ark. – Fairview Elementary received a special visit from one of Fort Smith Police Department’s most beloved team members—Pawfficer Fuzz.
Accompanied by Officer Shoptaw and Detective Kolb, the furry officer was on hand to engage with students in a fun, interactive event aimed at building positive relationships between law enforcement and the community.
The visit featured high-fives, laughter, and plenty of photo opportunities, as students got the chance to meet the department’s four-legged ambassador.
Officers spoke with students about the role police play in keeping neighborhoods safe and how community support is vital to their mission.
Fort Smith Police expressed appreciation for the warm welcome from Fairview Elementary and noted the importance of outreach events like these in fostering trust and education.
The department shared highlights of the visit on social media, thanking the school for hosting what they described as a “fuzz-tastic” experience.
