Fort Smith, ARK — A 63-year-old woman from Fort Smith died following a two-vehicle crash in Greenwood on December 16, according to the Greenwood Police Department (GPD).
The incident occurred when the woman, whose identity has not been released, reportedly failed to yield while crossing Highway 71 from Liberty Drive. As a result, her vehicle collided with a northbound vehicle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the woman to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The other driver involved in the crash was treated for minor injuries at the scene and was released shortly afterward.
