Fort Smith, Ark. – Fort Smith is preparing to celebrate two of its own with a special event honoring local NBA champions on Thursday, July 24.
The event, titled “Thunder in the Fort,” will feature an afternoon of festivities culminating in a public parade through downtown and a community gathering at The Bakery District. The celebration runs from 4 to 8 p.m., with the parade scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. along Garrison Avenue.
After the parade, fans are invited to return to The Bakery District, where the honorees will address the crowd and thank the community for its support.
The event is free, open to the public, and does not require tickets. Residents are encouraged to participate by attending, volunteering, sponsoring, or entering a float or group in the parade.
