Fort Smith, Ark. – The City of Fort Smith announced plans to receive approximately $4 million in federal funding over the next five years through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
The funds will support projects aimed at improving neighborhoods and enhancing quality of life, particularly for low- to moderate-income families.
Before allocating the funds, city officials are asking residents to participate in a Community Needs Assessment Survey to help guide spending decisions.
The CDBG program focuses on assisting low- and moderate-income residents, revitalizing areas in need of improvement, and addressing urgent community needs.
Residents are encouraged to complete the survey at https://cofs.info/blockgrantsurvey to share their input on community priorities.
