Fort Smith, Ark. – The Fort Smith Police Department announced that Lt. Lee McCabe successfully completed the 120-hour FEMA Basic Academy.
He graduated on Aug. 28, 2025, during a ceremony hosted by the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management.
The academy is considered a rigorous, foundational training program designed to strengthen emergency preparedness and enhance community resilience.
Department officials said McCabe’s achievement reflects his dedication to professional development and contributes to public safety in Fort Smith.
