Fort Smith, Ark. – The Fort Smith Police Department’s four-legged team members joined the community for a special Sunday event at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church.
K-9 Behr, accompanied by Cpl. George, K-9 Ajax with Officer Gwin, and Pawfficer Fuzz attended the church’s Blessing of the Animals, according to a department post shared October 5.
The event brought together the department’s furry partners for an opportunity to take part in a community tradition celebrating animals.
The police department shared photos of the team members attending the event and expressed appreciation for opportunities to connect with local residents.
“ We’re always grateful for opportunities to spend time with our community — especially when our furry partners get to join in,” the department said.
The appearance highlighted the department’s community engagement efforts and gave residents an opportunity to see some of the animals who are part of the Fort Smith Police Department’s team.
