Fort Smith, Ark. – The Fort Smith Police Department is inviting residents to join local law enforcement and first responders for National Night Out 2026 on Tuesday, October 6, at the Central Mall Parking Lot.
The free, family-friendly event will run from 5 to 7 p.m. and will feature a variety of activities designed to bring residents and public safety officials together.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet local officers and first responders, explore police vehicles and specialty equipment, and see demonstrations and displays from multiple law enforcement agencies.
The event will also include K-9 officers, family-friendly activities, community resource booths, door prizes and free hot dogs and drinks, with Arvest Bank sponsoring the refreshments.
Organizers encouraged families to attend, whether they want to climb into a police vehicle, meet a K-9 officer or simply spend an evening connecting with neighbors and members of the local public safety community.
