Fort Smith Police Department to celebrate graduation of 33rd academy class

Fort Smith, Ark. – The Fort Smith Police Department is set to host a graduation ceremony for its 33rd Academy Class, welcoming a new generation of officers into public service. The event will be held on **Friday, June 6**, at **10:00 a.m.** at the **U.S. Marshals Museum**, located at **789 Riverfront Drive** in Fort Smith.

This year’s class includes **a total of 21 graduates** from departments across the region. Of those, **10 officers represent Fort Smith**, while the remaining graduates come from **Van Buren (3), Fort Chaffee (2), and one each from Alma, Barling, Crawford County, Franklin County, Sebastian County, and the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith (UAFS)**.

The department has extended an open invitation to the community to attend the ceremony and show support for the new officers as they prepare to begin their careers in law enforcement. The graduation marks the culmination of rigorous training and education, designed to prepare recruits for the diverse challenges of modern policing.
