Fort Smith, Ark. – The Fort Smith Police Department thanked residents and community partners following its latest Food Patrol event, which brought officers and neighbors together at Briarwood Apartments.
The department said the event provided an opportunity for officers to connect with residents, share a meal, and continue building positive relationships within the community.
Police described the gathering as a successful afternoon focused on strengthening community ties through conversation and engagement outside of emergency situations.
The department also recognized Evangel Temple for sponsoring the week’s Food Patrol event, saying the organization’s generosity helped make the community outreach effort possible.
Fort Smith Police thanked everyone who attended and highlighted the importance of partnerships with local organizations that support programs designed to foster trust and communication between law enforcement and the community.
