Fort Smith, Ark. – The Fort Smith Police Department is inviting teens and young adults between the ages of 16 and 20 to apply for its Public Safety Cadet Program.
The program offers hands-on experience for those interested in careers in law enforcement or emergency response.
Participants will engage in activities led by public safety professionals, gain real-world experience, and take part in physical and character-building challenges.
The program also emphasizes respect for the law and personal discipline.
To join, applicants must complete an application, pass a background check and interview, maintain a 2.0 GPA, and have reliable transportation to classes.
Sessions are held twice a month on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
