Fort Smith, Ark. – The Fort Smith Police Department has expanded its ranks with the addition of six new sworn officers who were officially sworn in during ceremonies held on Jan. 19 and Jan. 26.
The department announced the new hires in a statement released Tuesday.
The newly sworn officers are Krisynthia Fein, Julia Bond, Michael White, Brady Grinnell, Jonathan Maclin, and Billie Farris.
Officials said the officers will help support the department’s ongoing efforts to serve and protect the Fort Smith community.
Judge Samuel Terry presided over the swearing-in ceremonies. Department leaders also thanked the officers’ families for their support and for sharing their loved ones with the city as the new officers begin their law enforcement careers.
