Fort Smith motorcycle officers participate in Steel Horse Rally’s ‘Cops and Cones’ event

Fort Smith, Ark. – Motorcycle officers from the Fort Smith Police Department joined law enforcement personnel from across Arkansas on Saturday for the 2025 Steel Horse Rally’s “Cops and Cones” event.

Held as part of the larger motorcycle rally, “Cops and Cones” gave officers an opportunity to showcase their riding skills in a structured course setting.

The event also served as a way for police to engage with the public in a positive and informal environment.

The Fort Smith Police Department shared on social media that its Motorcycle Unit “hit the streets and the cones” during the event and thanked everyone who came out to support local law enforcement riders.

No incidents were reported during the event, which was attended by multiple agencies. The “Cops and Cones” segment has become a regular feature of the Steel Horse Rally, which takes place annually in Fort Smith.
