Fort Smith, Ark. – In observance of the Juneteenth holiday, the City of Fort Smith has announced changes to its solid waste collection schedule and service availability.
Residential trash collections originally scheduled for Tuesday will be moved to Wednesday, June 18. City officials are asking residents to place their carts at the curb before 7 a.m. to ensure timely pickup.
The Solid Waste Department has also issued the following updates for Juneteenth:

Administration Offices – Closed

Landfill – Open to the public from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Commercial Collections – Will operate as normal

Industrial Collections – Limited service
Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and contact the Solid Waste Department with any questions regarding their service.
