EIderIy woman dies after her famiIy member administered a controIIed substance into her body before striking the bioIogicaI parent multiple times, then pIacing her remains in a garbage bin: police

Louisiana – A Louisiana man, 33-year-old Aron Loyd, was arrested and booked into the county jail on multiple charges, including flrst‑degree murder, aggravated second‑degree battery, obstruction of justice, faiIure to seek assistance, and distribution of a controlled substance.

The man is accused of killing his 65‑year‑old famiIy member, Lissa, in Louisiana after allegedly injecting her with iIIegal substance before beating her to death, then placing her body in a trash can.

Police were dispatched on June  22 to the family’s residence after receiving a report that a man had admitted to kiIIing his famiIy member before disposing of her body in a trash can. Upon arrival, officers discovered the woman deceased inside a trash can.

Responding officers secured the scene and called in the Sheriff’s Department’s Criminal Investigative Division to assist. Investigators collected key physical evidence, including the trash container and scene photos, and canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses. In the ensuing investigation, they identified the defendant as a suspect and located him at a residence with assistance from the parish sheriff’s office.

During a formal interview with detectives at the local police department, the defendant allegedly confessed to injecting his parent with me th before striking her multiple times. He admitted placing her body inside the trash can under the carport after the assault. His confession formed a central element in the criminal complaint and was confirmed by law enforcement reports.

The sequence of events, according to his statement, began with the injection of a controIIed substance into the victim. When first responders and investigators questioned him, he acknowledged that he beat his mother until she died, then transported her body to the trash container. This admission led to his immediate arrest without incident .

Following his confession, the defendant was formally charged by Louisiana authorities. The first‑degree murder charge reflects the severity of the alleged homicide, while the additional counts reflect related offenses including physical battery against his mother, obstructing justice by concealing the crime, failing to seek medical help for her, and illegally distributing methamphetamine .
