Donation of $134,000 from Greenway Equipment to the Arkansas Foodbank

Little Rock, Arkansas – Country music star Jason Aldean lent his support to Greenway Equipment Incorporated, resulting in a substantial donation made on a Friday. During the event, the group presented a check of $134,000 to representatives from Foodbanks in both Missouri and Arkansas.

The funds were generated through the sale of raffle tickets, and the lucky winner was awarded a Gator utility vehicle that had been signed by Jason Aldean himself. This effort was part of the Greenway fundraising event, which, over the course of five years, has successfully raised more than $900,000. These funds are directed toward combating childhood hunger and supporting the backpack program.

Brian Burton, the CEO of the Arkansas Foodbank, highlighted the impact of this contribution. He emphasized that the money raised translates to nearly millions of meals for individuals in need. He stated, “That’s almost 5 million meals for kids and for families who are in need and at risk of hunger.”

Representatives from the Arkansas Foodbank expressed their deep gratitude for the donation, stressing its significance in their efforts. The contribution will aid in the distribution of approximately 40 million pounds of food throughout the year to 33 different counties in the state.
