Crews Respond To Multiple Fires In Fort Smith

FORT SMITH, Ark — Crews respond to two separate fires within an hour of each other early Wednesday morning.

The first fire started at 1211 North 6th Street. Firefighters tell 5NEWS that while crews were heading to the first fire a second house fire was spotted on North 37th street near the intersection of Grand Avenue.

Crews on scene tell us at least one person was injured at the first fire, but that she was able to get out of the house. That woman is now being treated for smoke inhalation.

Neighbors at the second fire believed the homeowner was home since his car was there. However, crews were unable to find anybody inside the home after that fire was put out.
