Crash on Northbound I-57 in Sherwood Cleared After Causing Traffic Disruptions

SHERWOOD, Ark. – A crash involving a commercial motor vehicle on northbound Interstate 57 in Sherwood disrupted traffic for over an hour on Monday afternoon.

The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) reported the accident at approximately 2:19 p.m. near Exit 4. Emergency crews were quick to respond, and the scene was cleared by 3:30 p.m.

While the details of the crash remain limited, ARDOT confirmed that at least one injury occurred. According to the crash report, a commercial motor vehicle was involved in the incident.

As a result of the crash, traffic was temporarily blocked from Exit 4 back to Exit 2. Motorists were advised to use alternate routes until the area was cleared.

At this time, the Arkansas Department of Transportation has not released further information on the extent of the injuries or the cause of the crash.
