Conway police find 105 pounds of marijuana during traffic stop

Conway, Arkansas – A traffic stop by Conway police led to 105 pounds of marijuana being found, according to a Facebook post from the police department.

The traffic stop happened on Monday. Police said officer Tanner Williams noticed a vehicle traveling in the center lane constantly drifting back and forth into the right lane.

Williams pulled the driver over and found an open container of alcohol and noticed the smell of marijuana. During the traffic stop, Williams also found three large trash bags and a box labeled “bed frame.”

Inside the bags and the box were vacuumed sealed containers of marijuana with a street value of about $315,000, according to the department.

James Arthur Jenkins, 68, of South Carolina, faces several charges including possession of a controlled substance, open container of alcohol in a vehicle and improper lane change.
