Arkansas – Arkansas authorities are searching for 56-year-old inmate Grant Hardin after he escaped from the North Central Unit in Calico Rock, Arkansas, on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Hardin escaped from the facility at approximately 3:40 p.m. on May 25. He has been incarcerated at the North Central Unit since 2017, serving a 30-year sentence for first-degree murder, along with an additional sentence for r-pe.
Hardin is a former police chief of the city of Gateway, with a background in law enforcement — a detail that has heightened concerns surrounding his escape.
The Arkansas Division of Correction and the Division of Community Correction are currently working alongside local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to track his whereabouts.
