Fort Smith, Ark. – The Fort Smith Police Department took part in the City Play Day event, engaging with community members through interactive activities designed to strengthen relationships.
Officers attended the gathering with the department’s Scribble Car, encouraging children and families to express their creativity by drawing directly on the vehicle.
In addition, members of the recruiting team, patrol division, bicycle unit, and crisis intervention unit were present to answer questions and discuss the agency’s ongoing efforts to keep Fort Smith safe.
Organizers said the event provided a relaxed setting for residents to connect with law enforcement outside of emergency situations.
Officers posed for photos, spoke with attendees, and emphasized the importance of community partnerships.
The Fort Smith Police Department thanked everyone who participated, noting that events like City Play Day help promote trust, understanding, and shared commitment to a safer city.
