Bentonville Man Sentenced to Probation After Pleading Guilty to Terroristic Threatening, Drug Charges

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — A Bentonville man has been sentenced to three years of supervised probation after pleading guilty to charges of terroristic threatening and possession of a controlled substance. Andre Crawford, 39, was arrested on August 11, 2023, and initially faced a range of serious charges, including rape and assault, in addition to the terroristic threatening and drug offenses.

According to Benton County Prosecuting Attorney Bryan Sexton, Crawford entered a guilty plea during a pretrial hearing on January 13, 2025. In exchange for the plea, he was sentenced to probation, avoiding prison time. The sentencing comes after an investigation into allegations made by a victim, who had expressed fear about coming forward due to Crawford’s former position at Walmart.

The victim reportedly told police that she had been intimidated by Crawford’s status within the company, which she claimed was as a Senior Director of Computing. A spokesperson for Walmart confirmed to local news outlets that Crawford was employed by the company at one point but had not been with the company since April 2023. The spokesperson declined to comment on his exact position.

The investigation into Crawford’s activities led to a search of his residence, where police seized several electronics, as well as vials and pills believed to be steroids.

In addition to the probation, Crawford was ordered to have no contact with the victim as part of his sentencing.

Authorities have emphasized the importance of taking such allegations seriously, though no further details regarding the case have been released.
