ALEXANDER, Ark. — Authorities are actively searching for a suspect in connection to a shooting that occurred Saturday night, leaving two individuals injured.
According to a social media post from Alexander Fire & Rescue, gunshots were heard near one of the city’s fire stations, prompting firefighters to respond to a nearby home on Shirley Drive. Upon arrival, fire crews discovered two victims with gunshot wounds. The injured individuals were promptly transported to a nearby hospital; however, their conditions have not been disclosed.
The Alexander Police Department also issued a statement regarding the ongoing investigation. Authorities are seeking a male suspect, described as 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build and tattoos on both arms. He was last seen wearing a dark blue jacket and dark jeans.
The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous. Police are urging the public not to approach him, but to immediately contact 911 if he is spotted.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to gather more details. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward to assist law enforcement.
