ASP investigating after shooting on U.S. Highway 63 leaves 45-year-old man dead, another seriously injured

Arkansas – The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a fatal shooting that took place on Friday, March 14, 2025, around 7 p.m. on U.S. Highway 63 west of Bono.

Two men sustained gunshot wounds during the incident and were transported to St. Bernards Medical Center for treatment.

One of the victims, identified as 45-year-old Allan Brown of Bono, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The second man was later transferred to a hospital in Little Rock, where he continues to receive medical care.

Authorities confirmed that a passenger in one of the vehicles involved was not injured.

The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
