Arkansas – Recruits in the Arkansas State Police Troop School Class of 2025-A completed their fourth week of training, which focused on the proper use of OC spray and Tasers.
During the training, recruits learned about how each device works, their effects, the appropriate situations for use, and the necessary care for individuals exposed to them.
Under the supervision of training staff, recruits also experienced the effects firsthand as part of their instruction.
In addition to field exercises, the recruits—who are already certified officers—participated in classroom sessions covering Standard Field Sobriety Tests and Use of Force policies.
With Week 4 complete, the class now has eight weeks remaining in their training program.
