Arkansas State Police identify driver in Interstate 530 hit-and-run crash

Arkansas – The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division has located the commercial vehicle and identified the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Interstate 530 South near the 34-mile marker late last month.

According to Arkansas State Police, the crash happened at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 30, 2025, when a Peterbilt truck struck an orange Dodge Charger.

The impact forced the Charger off the roadway and into the median before it crossed back over the southbound lanes, overturned, and came to rest in a wooded area.

Investigators said continued efforts led to the location of the commercial truck and the positive identification of the driver involved. No additional details about the driver have been released.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Arkansas State Police thanked witnesses and members of the public who provided information that assisted in the investigation.
