Arkansas reports over 4,600 new COVID cases and 23 deaths

Little Rock, Arkansas — On Wednesday, Feb. 2, Arkansas reported 4,614 new COVID cases in the state, along with 23 more deaths.

Arkansas reached record-high hospitalizations at 1,819, over the past week. Fortunately, there seems to be a decline.

A total of 9,690 people have died in Arkansas due to the virus and more than 1.5 million have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

“We have over 30,000 fewer active cases than last Wednesday, and hospitalizations continue to fall. Our percent positivity has dropped by more than 10 percentage points since the middle of January, and I’m hopeful we’ll see these trends continue,” Gov. Hutchinson tweeted on Wednesday.
