Arkansas – According to ADPS officials, the total number of reported injuries from Friday night’s storm has risen to 32, with three fatalities confirmed in Independence County. Officials continue to assess the widespread damage and ongoing recovery efforts across the state.
Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has declared a State of Emergency due to the extensive damage and power outages affecting multiple counties in Arkansas.
The declaration will remain in effect until Saturday, March 29, 2025, unless lifted earlier.
The State Emergency Operations Center has received and processed several requests for assistance from impacted areas.
The Arkansas Rural Water Association has delivered three generators to Sharp County, while AT&T and Verizon have deployed a Satellite on Wheels (SOW) and a Cellular on Wheels (COW) to support radio and cellular tower operations in Cave City.
Additionally, 52 members of the Arkansas National Guard have been dispatched to Cave City to provide general assistance and site security as recovery efforts continue. Officials urge residents to remain cautious and follow local advisories as response teams work to restore services and clear debris.
