Fort Smith, Ark. – The Fort Smith Fire Department has received a substantial lumber donation from West Fraser’s Mansfield Sawmill to support firefighter training operations.
According to the department, the donated materials will be used to create realistic training scenarios designed to benefit emergency responders throughout Sebastian County.
The effort was coordinated through Sebastian County Emergency Management and West Fraser.
Fire officials said the partnership will help provide additional training opportunities and strengthen preparedness for firefighters and other emergency responders.
The Fort Smith Fire Department thanked both West Fraser and Sebastian County Emergency Management for their support and commitment to improving emergency response capabilities in the community.
